This policy describes how the website kataster24.sk (the “Site”) processes personal data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Slovak Act No. 18/2018 Coll. on the protection of personal data. The Slovak version is legally binding.

1. Controller

2. What data we process

• Search queries – parcel numbers and addresses you type into the search. We process them only to build the report, do not link them to you and do not use them for profiling.
• Technical data – IP address, browser type, device and operating system, time of visit and pages viewed (server logs).
• Cookies and analytics – we measure traffic with Google Analytics (GA4) only with your consent. See the Cookie policy.

We don’t collect sensitive data, payment data or registration data – the Site works without an account.

3. Purposes and legal basis

• Providing the service (building the report) – legitimate interest and performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).
• Operation, security and abuse prevention – legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
• Traffic statistics and improving the service – your consent to analytics cookies (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw consent at any time with the “Cookie settings” button in the footer.

4. Property and owner data

The Site shows only publicly and lawfully available information from open sources (ÚGKK SR – cadastral map, INSPIRE, ZBGIS; Address Register; ŠGÚDŠ; VÚPOP; EEA; OpenStreetMap). Ownership data (owner type, number of co-owners and shares) is loaded directly from the public ÚGKK SR service (ESKN) only when you open a report, and is not stored. We don’t show or store the names of owners who are private persons; we only show the names of the state, municipalities and legal entities. If you find information on the Site that concerns you and want it corrected or restricted, write to us.

5. Recipients and external services

We don’t sell personal data. To run the Site we use:

• Cloudflare, Inc. – CDN and attack protection (processes your IP address).
• A VPS host in the EU – running the server.
• Google Ireland Limited – Google Analytics, only after consent. Google may process data outside the EEA under standard contractual clauses.
• Map and data services your browser calls directly when showing a map or report: ÚGKK SR, ŠGÚDŠ, VÚPOP, EEA, OpenStreetMap (map tiles, Nominatim, Overpass) and Open-Meteo (elevation). These services see your IP address and the coordinates of the place shown.

We may disclose data to competent authorities where the law requires it.

6. Retention

Search queries are cached briefly (up to a few hours) for speed and are not stored permanently as personal data. Server logs are kept for at most 30 days. Analytics data follows Google Analytics default retention (14 months).

7. Your rights

• right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority – the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic (dataprotection.gov.sk).
