BPEJ: what the soil code means and how to find it

BPEJ is a seven-digit code describing the quality of agricultural land. It is used to set the official price of the land and the levy payable when the land is taken out of the agricultural land fund.

What the digits mean

How to find the BPEJ

On the cadastral map, turn on the „Kvalita pôdy (BPEJ)“ layer and click on the plot. The plot overview shows the code and its breakdown: climatic region, soil type, stoniness, depth and texture. The data source is VÚPOP.

Frequently asked questions

Does every plot have a BPEJ?

No. BPEJ is set for agricultural land. Built-up areas and forests usually have no BPEJ code.

Where can I find the BPEJ for free?

On the Kataster24 cadastral map in the Kvalita pôdy (BPEJ) layer, or in the plot overview.
